About Jeremy

Before you even ask, NO, there is no relation to THAT guy!  That said,
my father’s name is Jerry, and that is pretty funny. 

A google search will bring up many results for Jeremy Springer.  While I am not a football superstar, or a heavy metal bass guitarist (full time), I can throw a ball, and even consider myself a respectable bass player.  What really differentiates me from those other Jeremys, other than genetics?  I own the domain :P (Ridiculously large offers only, please).

This Jeremy Springer lives in Milton-Freewater, Oregon, has a Master’s degree in Social Work, and is currenly a member of the Umatilla County Crisis Response team for Lifeways, Inc., responding to mental health crisis’ ranging from suicidal ideation and gestures to full-blown psychotic illnesses requiring detainment and involuntary hospitalization.  It is never boring.

In the long term, I plan to create an organization which utilizes a wilderness therapy model in working with high-risk teens and young adults, but that is still a few years down the road as I must first obtain a license to practice independently after a few thousand supervision hours.  Ugh. In the meantime I will continue to focus on practicing my true passion, trauma therapy, in a clinical setting.
